This study examines the successive redactions of the liturgical texts by the Roman Rite from the pontificate of Clement VIII onwards for celebrating the feasts of nine bishops non martyrs of the seventeenth century: Saint Ubald, saint Norbert, saint Charles Borromeo, saint Francis of Sales, saint Patrick, saint Anselm, saint Lawrence Justinian, saint Thomas of Villanova and Saint Andrew Corsini.
