Abstract

The article reviews a paper by Romano Guardini published in the journal « Jahrbuch für Liturgiewissenschaft » in 1921, entitled “About the systematic method in liturgical science”. Once he has explained that the liturgical study can’t be restricted to the historic point of view only, Guardini qualifies the object and the method of a systematic study, in order to look at the liturgical matter as an organized unity that moves inside between its polar oppositions.
